16, 17, 18

Whoa. Crosby is EIGHTEEN MONTHS old! I mean, I literally just planned his 1st birthday and I will already have to start planning his next one in a few months! That s**t  CRAY.

Some of Crosby's faves are:
  • Eating: This is still his #1 favorite activity.  He basically still eats everything we give him.  He is obsessed with fruit especially bananas, still lovin' the veggies (which I hear is rare bc most kids are kickin' those to the curb by now, so I am hoping this sticks around as long as possible), LOVES pickles, cheese, sweets (any and every kind), and his new favorite snack is BBQ Pop Chips.
  • He is still a great sleeper {MOST days} but if he is teething or going through a growth spurt, he will wake up every 15-20 from like 5:45 on and just talk to himself or sometimes cry out but then fall asleep again then wake up...and this goes on until about 8 when we decide he is fully up and ready for some breakfast.
  • He loves books but sometimes he favors more than others and then I have to hide them because I can't read another word of them...I'm talking to you "Guess Who Mickey Mouse?" and you "Goodnight Moon"
  • He is would rather be outside than anywhere else which is great except he doesn't understand things like rain or 35 mph wind.
  • He is proving to be rather clumsy considering 2 months ago he had to have 3 stitches and the other day he wasn't paying attention & fell into the coffee table....with his face & now he has a black eye. (In his 18 month photo it is strategically concealed with the shadow, but you can see a hint of the scrape)
  • Loves dancing, helping with laundry, playing with Palmer, puzzles, giving hugs and he's just started giving kisses and when he does he goes "mmmmma" {it's pretty cute.}
  • Crosby has 15 teeth
  • Crosby says: Mama (sometimes Mommy and sometimes even throws in a Mom and I am like "are you a 13 y/o all of a sudden?!?") Dada/Daddy, Dog (which is still basically every animal he sees), Nana (Banana), Outsiiiii (Outside), Down, Go, Bubbles, Ball, Uh Ohhhh (which he repeats all the time over and over and he also says this when he has taken a deuce in his diaper and pulls at it letting us know to go change him), Dickey (Which is supposed to be Mickey), Da Duck (Donald Duck) And when he really really wants to go outside "Mama Go, Mama Gooooooooo" So I am considering that his first real sentence...counts right?
  • Stats: He hasn't had a doc appt in awhile so I am not for sure but according to our scale at home he is 29.6 lbs and at his last appt at 15 months he was 33.5 in tall so I am guessing he is closer to the 35 in mark now. He can still fit in some of his 12-18 month clothes (and some 9-12 shorts from last summer) since he has a tiny waist, but he is mostly in 18-24 months for pants/shorts, 2t in shirts, and 2t & 3t in PJ's.

Can you tell he wasn't too into having his pic taken at 17 months?! Haha.

On Instagram Straight Flexin'

So I have some new shirts to share...between work and just being crazy busy I haven't blogged in forever. That seems to be a going theme: I blog pretty steadily for awhile then disappear for awhile.  I've really got to get more consistent with it!!! So anyways, first shirt is Crosby's Trinidad James shirt.  We ALL know I love LOVE rap and maybe the more inappropriate the better, I just can't help it! Sorry I am not sorry.   The song is called "All Gold Everything" and there is a line in the song that says "on Instagram Straight Flexin'" so I thought it was pretty fitting for this kid. [He looks like such a G right?! Haha]

For Allie's sweet girls Emerson & Madison, I made some Texas Love tanks.  Allie paired them with the cutest yellow/white chevron bubble shorts to wear for their bluebonnet pictures this year. Just realized I should have snagged one of them off facebook....

One of my good friends wanted a shirt to announce her pregnancy and she is a serious runner....like ran in the Boston Marathon last year serious, so I made her this shirt to wear in the announcement picture and to wear while she runs for the next few months.

Scarlett, one of my favorite little girls, turned one a few weeks ago so when I was deciding what to get her as a gift I knew I wanted to make her a few shirts.  I knew she would be getting toys and probably tons of super cute clothes so I decided to get her some play clothes and jazz 'em up a bit. Her mom, Kayci, is a die-hard Beyonce fand (I mean, who isn't) so I had to do a little shout out to Bey's Destiny's Child days and make Scarlett her own "Bootylicious" tank.

I also made her a shirt that has a quote from one of my & Kayci's FAVORITE movies.  We can basically only watch it with each other or by ourselves because we drive people crazy because we know every word.  Literally, start to finish, the whole movie including songs...If you have never seen it and are in the mood for an awesome 80's flick, I HIGHLY recommend it!

There's a line in the movie where they are trying to figure out if they know the same guy by his red Camaro and the character Daryl says:

Yeah, but do a lot of people have the license plate “So Cool”?

The movie is set in Chicago, but I obvi had to throw in a little Texas love and make Scarlett's license plate a TX one.

I have some more shirts/onesies in the works and I will be sharing soon. School is slowing down and summer is approaching so my goal is to try to blog at least twice a week.

Valentine's Recap 2014

We had a great Valentine's Day this year! It was super low-key and we just hung out at the house. Crosby's school had a little Valentine's party and they had mailboxes to put their valentines from their classmates in.  Of course, I couldn't just be a normal human being and go to the store and buy a package of valentine's, I had to make them of course.  For his class I did what you see below minus the red scalloped border...what you see below is what he sent to his little lady friends, I just printed the valentine a little bit bigger and then I glued it to these plain red cards that I found in the dollar section at Target.

For his party he also needed a custom valentine tee as well! I bought this tee back in January at Old Navy and then brainstormed for weeks on what to put on it....the hubs helped me narrow it down to "How you doin?!" (Like Joey on Friends of course!)

He had a little too much fun in the cupcake frosting at his party and it got all over his clothes so he spent the rest of the day in play clothes.  He had fun opening up his little Valentine gifts...his obsession with Mickey continues and we bought him a Mickey tee and 2 little Mickey board books.

Since Valentine's Day was on Friday and I had to work {lame}, I did his "festive" breakfast on Saturday morning instead. By festive I mean a heart donut with sprinkles, strawberries, and milk out of a cute straw! :)

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! XOXO.

12, 13, 14, 15

Here are Crosby's latest monthly pics. I can't believe he is 15 months old! Things he is lovin' right now are:
  • Eating: DUH, homeboy does NOT miss a meal, or a snack or any of mom/dad's meals or snacks either. Pretty much wants a bite/drink of anything we have
  • Reading: He LOVES books. Right now I would say his favorites are "Pokey Little Puppy", "Guess Who Mickey Mouse" and "Mickey Mouse Adventures" (which has the buttons you push to make sounds) which brings us to his next like love obsession...
  • MICKEY MOUSE: He loves MM Clubhouse, his 57 (Ok 3...) stuffed Mickey's, and when we sing any song from MM Clubhouse.  I after his 15 month shots the other day, I felt bad and thought he needed a treat so I bought him some Mickey socks that were in the dollar section at Target and you would have thought I just handed him a million dollars he was so excited
  • Showing off his tricks:  He is a PRO at saying "please" in sign language, calling every animal he sees a "dog", showing off where his belly, eyes, ears, nose, mouth and tongue are (tongue is the best because he sticks it out and he looks very rock & roll haha), dropping or throwing things on purpose so he can say "UH OHHHHH",
  • Clapping & Dancing: Any time "Blurred Lines" comes on he goes nuts and also "Roar" by Katy Perry (must have a crush like his Dad) as well as any Mickey song..
  • CLIMBING: Literally on everything or over anything.  It's going to be the death of me. He STILL won't walk but he could climb to the top of the house if we would let him.

Ahhh I'm O-N-E!

Messy hair, don't currrr

Fresh after my first haircut

Excited about something...probably Mickey Mouse

Our Christmas Cards

So it's never too late for a little Christmas cheer right?! Haha.  Here is our Christmas card for 2013. Sorry for the terrible quality of pix...used my iphone so it's a picture of a picture.  Last year we did a chalkboard background and I am not ashamed to say, I wanted to do it again this year.  I am still not over the whole chalkboard craze.  BUT instead of doing the same thing 2 years in a row, I decided to do a craft paper/washi tape design.  Like I said in the last post I took pictures of Crosby and Sophie and then we also did a few family pictures (a FEW..... most of them were a hot mess) and this one was the only decent one of all 3 of us. So both of these pictures of Crosby also had sweet Sophie in them but I had to photoshop her out for the sake of people who don't know her being like "wait who is that girl??"

And here is a bigger picture of our family pic...I think it looks way better in black and white :)

Ready for Picture Overload?!

So my New Year's Resolution was to be more consistent with blogging.  It's January 23rd.  Oooopsies.  Hopefully I am finally getting my act together...I got the cutest planner for Christmas and I am hoping that will keep me ON TRACK! So here is a little recap of what has happened the past few months.

In early November we wanted to get a head start on Christmas Card pics so we went to this cute park in Grapevine and met Clay's sis & her husband and our sweet niece Sophie.  I knew for sure I wanted to get some pictures of the 2 of them in their tees I made them & I thought they turned out pretty cute!  Everyone always asks me where Crosby gets his blonde hair from...well here's your answer: Sophie! They don't look alike at all do they?!

I mean, how precious are they?! The photo shoot wasn't all fun and games but I couldn't resist posting these pics because they are kind of my favorite...haha!

November also brought random warm days where we did lots of playing outside.  Then came the cold. Of course the coldest morning of November had to be the day I decide to "run."  Thanksgiving day we continued our tradition of the Turkey Trot and "ran" the 5k.  Last time I did actually run, but this time there were so many people and trying to navigate the stroller through all of them was CRAY. So we did alot of running...walking....practically crawling...running...walking...you get it.

After more warm days in December, Icepocolypse decided to happen.  It was flipping freezing and literally ice was raining from the sky.  Oh sure it looks so pretty in this picture but trust me it was a hard, frozen surface that was NOT fun to fall on... It was alot Mimosa drinking & Mickey Mouse watching but eventually the mimosas ran dry and Mickey got on my last nerve and we were ALL stir crazy (see pic of Crosby trying to get out below!)

Christmas was so fun this year! We got to visit with friends and see our fam in Wichita Falls.  Crosby remembered what a pro he was at opening gifts from his birthday and dove right in and of course wanted to play with the paper or boxes only and sometimes took a little bite out of tissue paper...NBD.

Crosby and his boo Scarlett

Everyone wears their gifts immediately right?! New moccs on feet and sweats around neck..check!
